Where did I put that?
when putting items in storage, take a picture so you don't have to wonder where everything is at. This can apply to storing things under the bed, under carriage of camper, in booth seat of dining area, and storage areas under the bunkbeds. In your "home" or whatever you are putting in storage til you can part from it for good. Then all you have to do is check your phone or pictures you saved from camera on computer to track down lost items! You can also you Evernote, Blogger, Dropbox.
Box up your stuff that is necessary to keep, number each box/container and kept a list of what was in each box. There is an app called Encircle that is available for Blackberry, iPhone/iPad and Android that lets you take pictures and describe what you have

Caring for the Black box
Black tank rules:
1. Never leave black tank valve open. Liquid accumulation is needed to liquify and remove solids.
2. Use plenty of water when flushing, especially solids.
3. For keeping the tank clean, use GEO method, (add 1 C Blue Dawn, 1C Liquid Calgon, 1 C bleach after dumping black).
4. Dump tank when flushing commode give you a 'burping' sound.
Grey tank rules:
1. OK to leave valve open.
2. For dirty sensors in grey or galley tank, use Geo Method.
For real dirty sensors, make sure your tanks are 50% full of liquid, Add Geo stuff above. Drive to next destination. Fill tanks, then dump them Black first.
If you fill with 5 Gallon bucket you can be pretty accurate on how full your tanks are.
Once clean, keep black closed and grey open. Use plenty of water when flushing solids.
I live in RV full time, I choose one day out of the week to empty, usually on a Monday

My first RV Toy hauler
This is a new story in my life. I say a new story, because anyone can start a new chapter, well for me, this is the dawning of a new era, a new season in my life. Chapters keep the saga of the same story ongoing, well as of now, the book is closed and now God is painting the picture of a new thing in my life. It is what I call Breaking New Ground. For some time, where I live at now, have been constantly on a towing frenzy, I have had to pick up a vehicle twice and was threatened to be towed a third time, that was the deal breaker for me, seeing I have a hard time walking distance and can't just get up n GO like I use to, the lack of handicap parking that is close to where I live, without having to walk half the parking lot, and the fact that my neighbor downstairs assumes the one that is here close to us, is hers, she literally will not move her car til Sundays, the 3rd of the month and in any event she goes to the doctor.... Well, I had had enough, couldn't quite get to the Island where I wanted to go and get a condo, so for a temporary solution, I went RV shopping. Fell in love with them about 2 years ago, and was on a mission to get one, and as of this week, I am the proud owner of a 2003 Dutchmen TT, that means it has a garage.... My first goal, after relocating it from the dealer and setting it up is to paint the inside completely, and turn the trailer into a prayer den/play room for my babies when they come to visit.
I searched several places in Houston, Kemah, Galveston to dock this new 40' home, many of the facilities I visited were absolutely gorgeous, til I seen the Coast, it literally took my breath away on the top of the bridge, looking out upon the Gulf. I said to God, this is it. Now, being who I am, on the journey to find "the place" God ministered to me, in tears, prayer, praise and worship, there and back. He said it is time to Break New Ground, hence the name of my GirlToy.... I still will maintain my current apartment til the lease expires, I just won't be living in it, my son will.
Seeing how I am clueless to the RV world, I joined a lot of websites, to receive their newsletters, looking for other women RV'ers, full time RV'ers, etc. I needed RV 101. Some of the things, I learned the hard way, because it was a trade in, that while I was completely the sale paperwork, the previous owners were taking batteries, generators and anything else OFF, as they literally were still there after having just traded it, so here I am, not knowing what I need to function on day one in it.
So, to any newbies, here is a list, and I will add as the week progresses as to what you may or may not need:
12 amp Marine life battery
Propane tank (Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, some Gas stations, the RV store)
First Aide kit
Tools
Tape measurer
Fire Extinguisher
Sewage piping
Water hose for RV
Biodegradable toilet paper
Measure your bed, it may not be a Queen, but rather a Full size
Locks and chains
2-4 concrete blocks for leveling
Leveling guage
Books, CD's, DVD's, Cable cord, pen and paper
List of medications
List of doctors
List of RV mechanics/haulers
List of Emergency family contact
and anything else you may personally need for your trip or move, since I am moving into mine fulltime, I am taking plastic cute dishes, etc...not too many things that are breakable.
Happy RVing,
Break New Grounds
